Which soap is halal

One must understand that to include everything and anything under this analogy or cite modern food production techniques does not necessarily satisfy the condition of Tabdeel-e-Mahiyat. A classic example is Gelatine, a thickener used in food derived from skins, tendons, ligaments, bones, to produce a gelling agent.

However some remnant of the original product still remains in the final packaged product making it impure and improper for use despite the great chemical changes it underwent. Hence this will not be considered Tabdeel-e-Mahiyat or Halaal. The example given by Allamah Ibn Abidin in his Fatawa Radd-ul-Muhtaar on nutfah [a drop of sperm] which is impure and changes after conception into Alaqah [germ cell or clot] also impure but fertilizing into a Muzqah [embryonic lump] which is pure.

The second example quoted by him is of Aseer [grape juice] which is pure but ferments and changes into Khamr [wine] becoming impure and thereafter can further change into Khal [vinegar] which is pure again. Vinegar is prepared by two successive microbial process. The first being an alcoholic fermentation [which is Haraam] and the second an oxidation of alcohol by aceto bacter, when its molecular structure is changed and it ceases to be an intoxicant.

And that was one of the major reasons that we initially started a soap business—to create and offer products that were halal. Casually, it is used to refer to what foods a practicing Muslim eats, specifically meat.

In actuality, it is a much broader concept, referring to the set of spiritual and practical precepts within Islam that govern what is considered to be healthy and beneficial for a human being to do or not do. In fact, the majority of commercial bar soaps include animal ingredients. Based in Turkey, the soaps made by Anatolia Daphne only contain all-natural ingredients — no derivatives from animals. With a multitude of bar soaps handmade by artisans who have adopted the ancient soap-making techniques that were used in Egypt and Mesopotamia, the natural soap will cleanse your pores scrupulously, while uplifting and revitalising your body, mind and spirit.

Antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial agents are incorporated into the soap to elevate its benefits. It also comprises of activated charcoal, which unclogs pores and absorbs environmental pollutants. Sakinah has a discerning palate and an innate desire to satisfy her inner curiosity. The ruling remains in effect unless there is evidence to the contrary, such as the ruling on tahaarah purity , the rulings on breaking wudoo', the ruling on remaining married, the ruling on possession and the ruling on commitments, all of which remain in effect unless there is evidence to the contrary.

This principle is indicated in the hadeeth in which it is said concerning hunting: "If you find it drowned, do not eat it, for you do not know whether the water killed it or your arrow," and "But if there are other dogs with him, then do not eat it, for you mentioned the name of Allaah over your dog, not any other.

But if it becomes clear that it is harmful to the lips, because it dries them out, then in this case it is not allowed. I have been told that it may dry out the lips. If that is proven then one is not allowed to so something that will harm one. He should be careful to ensure that his wealth is halaal and he should be careful to ensure that what he eats and drinks are things that the Lord has permitted to him.

And he should be careful in all areas of his life to ensure that nothing of them goes against the Qur'aan and Sunnah. The basic principle in the former case is that they are permissible unless there is proof to the contrary, and the basic principle with regard to meat is that it is haraam - as stated above by Ibn al-Qayyim - unless there is evidence to the contrary. Rather we have only heard of that through rumours.

In that case it is haraam to use them. But if the news is no more than a rumour and is not proven, then it is not obligatory to avoid using it. But the prayers that he offered during the time when he was using it do not have to be repeated, according to the correct scholarly opinion. The basic principle is that things are permissible, but if a person is certain that it contains pork fat or he thinks this is most likely to be the case, it is not permissible for him to use it.

What is your opinion? If he says that this soap is made of pork fat, we say to him, "Bring proof. Islamqa, Shaykh Munaajid.

Preliminaries All things are assumed to be pure until their impurity has been decisively established. Many liquid soaps are not made of tallow, so one can look into these as an alternative. If one is in a difficult situation and needs to follow the Hanafi dispensation and uses soap made from beef tallow, then one must purify oneself before praying by running water over all parts affected by the filth soap, in this case until all traces of it are removed.
