It was at this point my girls left, never having even made it to the dance floor, but not before a horrific ordeal just trying to push their way out to exit the building.

It was one of the most unpleasant experiences of their lives, and my worst nightmare to learn about it. We had been to Pacha a few times and suck it up and go because of the DJs they brought but this last time was the last straw! Let's start with the door - you feel like a criminal just walking into this place.

You are patted down and if you have any mints, gum, candy or even anything resembling them i had a pack of wisp travel toothbrush on me they take it and throw it out. Next you get in and pay a small fortune to walk into the place. If you go- be smart and buy the tickets in advance.

After you pay way too much money for a way watered down drink you survey the floors. The very top level is the hip-hop floor.

Music is good, crowd is a bit more touchy-feely than it needs to be but all in all that's an ok place to be if no fights break out. The bottom floor can have great or crappy music from one minute to the next since the DJs there are the newer DJs. The main floor is actually 2 floors - one where you walked into the building that overlooks the dance floor and the one below- the main dance floor.

These are the best and worst places to be. Obviously this is where the headliner DJ will play and if he's good you can bet your booty that it's going to get packed in here. And oh boy, If the night is a busy one the security crew begins to act like cattle drivers. They put up actual metal barricades yep - the ones the police use for parades and such and they blocked off the stairs between the 2 main floors.

This is the worst thing i've ever seen in my life. The place gets very overcrowded and hot very quickly and the attitude of the bouncers turns from horrible to downright beastly.

They are nasty and rude. They push people and yell at them without a second thought. This is where we were stuck for a good hour, between a barricade and a wall waiting to go downstairs to get our coats to leave that hell-hole. I saw people pushed so hard by bouncers that i was afraid to say anything or do anything - i just stood and waited to be allowed to leave. I no longer care what DJ is spinning there nor will i ever pay another dime to go there until they shut the place down and start all over again.

The place used to be sound factory in another life and it will be some other club at a future time, but for the present, they will never see a red cent from me again.

Came here with some friends on Friday night, was easy getting in through the weblist at about 11pm, bouncers seemed friendly enough.

I visited two of their bars looking for tap water but they didn't have it. The bars weren't even busy they weren't serving anyone. Terrible service. In Australia it is mandatory for places selling alcohol to serve free water - maybe you should learn something from this Pacha. Rude Staff and Rip off at the bar.

I told the bouncers and they told me to walk away, i said i wanted my change back and they kicked me out. They robbed me and it is a rip off. Ruined my whole night. Very nasty and rude staff. Will never go back there again. Charlotte U 4 contributions. Ibiza in NYC - needed a full day to recover! I stayed at Ink 48 this past week while in town for business and had asked the hotel concierge for a good place to go and let loose. He recommended I check out Pacha for some late night fun - it was a couple of blocks away so I could stumble home, and I recognized the name from Ibiza and that time the Kardashians went there, haha it was all over E!

Andrew Rayel literally walked by me to the booth -- my sister just saw him at Tomorrowland in Belguim - I had to ask for a selfie to send to her, she couldn't believe it, ha. One thing led to another, I met the coolest group from Germany who had been to 12 Pachas and counting and we agreed that this was a little slice of Spain nestled in NYC.

Clubs stay open that late?! My phone died so I didn't know the time, walked outside and there were people walking their dogs, people out for a run that had been me the day before , and me walk of shaming two blocks to my hotel. I slept for a good 14 hours, extended my stay an extra night so I could recover from my night of mayhem. If you're in town and doing one thing - make this be it.

Absolute time of my life, can't wait to go back. Amanda G 6 contributions. Had a really good night here but dont go in with high expectations. If you compare it to pacha in Sydney or Ibiza you will be sorely let down. Bar staff where pretty rude but had good music and atmosphere. Definite fire hazard. Super crowded.

Hopefully it doesn't end up like that one club in Mexico did where the owners were charged. It's ok but not great. BTW If you want to report a fire violation from this place. I'm betting most of us do. Call FDNY public relations. Mike G Providence, RI 3 contributions. The place likes to brag about it's ability to bring in big names. It really has only home downhill since the early 21st century.

This is your typical nyc club with nothing to add to the real "club scene," which I suggest going downtown for the big ones or asking around midtown for the intimate ones.

In addition if you are not from NJ or NY your ID has a good chance of not being accepted and second forms of ID are not accepted because, again, the people who work there are on a power trip and do not want to proven wrong.

I have lived around the city for over half a decade and really know the areas around this place Showing results of After his sudden passing earlier this year, the club stayed committed to operating without him, and even threw a massive charity concert in his honor. Over the past decade, some of the biggest names in dance music have shown up at Pacha, some of whom have already tweeted how sad they are that the club will close its doors soon.

The average nightclub lasts 18 months — we lasted Our final parties will celebrate the different artists, styles, and scenes that have made Pacha great. One can only assume that there will be an influx of patrons at upscale clubs Space Ibiza NY or Marquee NY, or the more relaxed Webster Hall, which would only result in longer lines but hopefully not higher price tags for shows.

If you're ever looking for her at a show, check the dance floor first. Home EDM News.
